Street Focus is a collective vision for safer city and town centres where our communities can thrive.

Led by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, we work with a number of partners, including local authorities and businesses.

Our projects aim to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) and increase community safety. Find out more about our current projects below.

Street Focus: Torquay

Torquay residents have long been affected by antisocial behaviour and serious violence. Street Focus: Torquay is a multi-agency approach to bring real, long-term change to the area.

The project will be used as a blueprint for other areas across the peninsula.

Hotspot Policing

Exmouth joint patrol

Devon and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner secured £1 million in Home Office funding to crack down on antisocial behaviour and serious violence.

This has enabled additional patrols by police officers and street marshals in areas identified as hotspots from crime data.

Community Engagement

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner community engagement vehicle makes regular appearances in the hotspot locations. It is a hub for members of the public to share the issues they face and receive advice.
