Torquay
Torquay has received funding for both police and partner patrols.
The patrols aim to proactively disrupt crime and act as a deterrent, as well as providing a reassuring presence to help people feel safe.
Town Centre Officers and street marshals are working closely with the police to share intelligence and engage with the community.
Hotspot policing complements the ongoing work of the Street Focus: Torquay project to tackle antisocial behaviour and create real, long-term change in the area.
Thank you to Torbay Council for helping to set up and manage these patrols.

“Hotspot policing is a proven policing technique. Over the course of the next year, Op Loki will facilitate our ability to offer visible community engagement in key areas of Torquay that are affected by ASB and serious violence. The hotspot policing approach aligns with our ongoing partnership work in Torbay and the problem-solving delivered by our neighbourhood team.”
