Paignton

Paignton has received funding for patrols by street marshals and Town Centre Officers.

The patrols aim to proactively disrupt crime and act as a deterrent, as well as providing a reassuring presence to help people feel safe.

Additional funding enabled daily police patrols in hotspot areas over the summer months. Police and partners are working together to reduce antisocial behaviour.

Thanks to Torbay Council for their help in setting up and managing these patrols.

“Hotspot policing is a tried and tested method of providing the most effective high-visibility engagement to aid in the prevention of crime. This innovative methodology will help to make Paignton a safer town for residents to enjoy and my team will be working closely with the local authority to ensure its success.”
